Far Out on OutTV in Canada!!

Friends, Canadians, Countrymen… lend us your ears….

As many of you have pointed out, we have been a little quiet of late.

It has been a busy few months, preparing the show for screenings at Euro Pride and the Vancouver Queer Film Festival. But our silence is mostly because we are not the best at keeping secrets and so thought it best to keep quiet until we could fill you in!

Le news Tres Fabulous is that Out TV; Canada ’s top LGBT TV Channel will be showing Far Out in September. This is a huge achievement for us as a small production house and goes way beyond the goals we thought possible when we sat down to make a web series last year.

This would not have been possible without the support and dedication of some terrific actors, crew members, designers and friends who lent us their talents, equipment, houses and souls to get Far Out off the ground. We bow to you.

Then there is you lot, who have whooped and cheered us through and supported us from both close and afar, we are so grateful, you will never know how much.

This deal with Canada has opened doors… we are still a little fish in a very big ocean but hope that we can now go forward continuing to produce good quality, down to earth LGBT TV and film in the future.

In order to move forward within the European market we need to close down the Far Out website but will stay in touch on Facebook and keep you posted with news of not only Far Out but also of future Inner Sanctum productions that might just float your boat…

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! we want to take this opportunity to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all of your support this year. The summer was a hugely busy time which extended into launching the show and having our screening in October and we are so grateful to all of you who have been with us during that time.
Things may have seemed a little quiet since then but we can assure you we have not ground to a halt – we have been working hard to build a future for this show. We have been promising an announcement for a while and it will come, but we are unfortunately ending this year on a sad note. Our friend and Far Out crew member/edit assistant/chef/all round brilliant bloke Dean Julian passed away very suddenly a short while ago. Dean had been our (Faye and Adele’s) friend for ten years and we will always miss him. Because of this, it hasn’t felt right for us to make any big announcements. But we will be back with you in the new year with an update on the future for Far Out.
We wish you and all your friends and family a very merry christmas and a happy new year, and again, thank you for all your support.

Far Out Screening – Sunday 4TH October!!

After a huge build up and months of waiting, finally Sunday 4th October saw all three parts of the Far Out pilot show being screened at the Screen on the Green in Islington, London. In attendance were cast members, musicians, press, and friends and supporters of “Far Out”.

We kicked off at 11am with an introduction from the ever fabulous Miss Cupcake aka Lynda Rathbone and then saw all three parts of the pilot show. Goody bags were distributed on the way out before everyone headed across the road for a well earned drink.

The Far Out team would like to thank our friends at G3 magazine, Stonewall, Shh! and http://www.prettypinkpearl.co.uk/ for providing all the fantastic things that went into the goody bags that the audience got to take away. We also want to thank the Screen on the Green and the people who came and helped us out the day – our ambassadors Diana Warren and Lisa Grantham, the boys next door Maurice Crowe and Andrea Monti and Kathy Yeoman Owens who was on hand (pardon the pun) to provide British Sign Language interpreting!

Far Out Ambassadors

A short while ago we put the word out that we were looking for people to become ambassadors for Far Out to help us spread the message far and wide about the show. We now stand in tribute to some of the troopers who have worked really hard to tell the world about Far Out.

First up is Diana Warren. Diana lives in Essex with her lovely wife Lisa and and Suki the cat. By all accounts she is a very busy and well connected lady! She the admin of the Lesbian Essex Socialites group (Facebook link http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=4671642961) and also told all of the south east about Far Out by showering the Essex and Suffolk pride festivals with flyers and getting the trailer screened at nightclubs Smiths2 in Chelmsford and Enigma in Colchester.

Next up are Jennifer Sharpe and Laura Blanshard who have started a blog to show what they’ve been doing to promote Far Out: http://farouttv.blogspot.com/

Jennifer is an aspiring journalist currently at Winchester University and Laura works as an Assistant Editor at Talkback Thames on the BBC 2 program “Escape To The County”. Please sign up to their blog so you can get posting and support them!

You can now go to http://faroutfans.com/ – the first Far Out fan site which has been set up by Katie Connolly.
